077 Al-Mursalat
This is a middle Makki Surah and is named so after the reference to winds sent forth, mentioned in the first verse.
Swearing by different kinds of winds and angels, Allaah (SWT) says that His promise will come true and the Day of Resurrection will surely occur.
The deniers of the Day of Reckoning are asked to reflect the state of former nations who denied, over their own creation and over the creation of the universe, and to fear the punishment of that day. If they cannot believe in the Qur’an, then there is nothing else that will benefit them.
