074 Al-Muddaththir

This is a Makki Surah and addresses the Prophet ﷺ to warn the disbelievers against associating partners with Allaah (SWT) and glorify Him. That is the Prophet ﷺ and his followers must actively work to removes evil from the society and remain patient in this process.

Reference has been made to Waleed bin Mugheerah, one of the chiefs of Quraysh, who was well aware of the truth of the message brought by the Prophet ﷺ, yet conspired against it.

The disbelievers will not benefit by the intercession of anyone in the Hereafter. 

The Qur’an is a reminder for those who seek guidance sincerely, and Allaah (SWT) alone is worthy of fear and worthy to seek forgiveness from.
