Waleed Idrees Al-Maneese
Born in Alexandria, Sheikh Waleed Idrees Al Maneese is a renowned name in the discipline of Qur’an recitation and preaching. His body of work is a testimony to the fact that this unique talent is a boon to the Muslim Ummah.
Under the wings of eminent Alexandrian Scholars like Sheikh Saad Al-Din Al Ghobashi, he garnered education on the sciences of Quran and Sunnah before receiving certifications in four readings amidst well known sheikhs such as Abdul Basit Hashem and gave a boost to his education by training under noted Shaykhs like Sheikh Abdul Razzaq Afifi, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Kaaoud, and Sheikh Ibn Jibrin.
It came as no surprise when this talented Shaykh achieved the position of a member of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies at the American Open University alongside conducting Imamat and preaching at the Dar Al Farouk in Minneapolis and not to forget he was also elected as a member of the Fatwa committee and of the Helal committee at the Islamic Assembly in North America.
Sheikh Waleed has imparted his extensive knowledge to young, enthusiastic and budding learners – the list of which is beyond 50 from various countries of the world such as Riyadh, Alexandria and the United States while also certifying around forty Sheikhs.
Sheikh Waleed Idrees Al Maneese has to his extreme honour and prestige, the blessed job of having written and compiled various gifts to the Muslim Ummah namely “The Gifts of Allah by Asanid Waleed Bin Idris”, “The Explanation of Al Orjouza Al Walidiya, commentary to Al Rahbiya” and “Summary of the Road of the Straight Path” among a few.
